Our Staff
Denise Corrou, LNHA
Administrator
I’ve been at Carmel Manor since June 2020. I love serving Seniors and I am so happy to be working alongside the Carmelite Sisters. I am originally from Upstate New York. I have a bachelor’s degree in accounting. I moved to this area to attend Xavier University. I earned an MBA and an MHA with concentration in Long Term Care. I have an Administrator’s license in Ohio and Kentucky. I have one daughter who is in College. I enjoy hiking, the arts, reading and traveling. I am so glad to be working at this beautiful home! It is clear to me that at Carmel Manor – The Difference is Love!

Elizabeth Byrd RN, BSN, DON
Director of Nursing
I have a background in Long Term Care. I graduated from The Christ College of Nursing with my BSN.
I have been married to Richard Byrd for 40 plus years and we have 4 lovely daughters and 9 grandchildren! We enjoy outdoor sports and swimming. I feel than I can emphasize the personal and health care needs of each family member that you place in our care. It will be my mission to enhance their quality of life.

Sister Alice Webster
Admissions Director
I am an LPN and I also have an Associate’s Degree in Human Services. I have worked in the Admissions Department at Carmel Manor for 10 years. I enjoy welcoming new Residents and their families into the nursing home environment. Helping Residents age in place and adjust to nursing home placement. It is nice to learn about their travels, family life, special interests and hobbies. I offer spiritual consolation when needed and educate and support families in caring for their loved ones in a new environment. I grew up in Massachusetts and still have my Boston accent! I am the middle child of 7 siblings. My last Carmelite mission was in our home in West Palm Beach Florida and I still miss the ocean.

Sandy Baumer
Admissions Coordinator
I have been a nurse for 30 years and have over 13 years of Long-Term Care experience.
I have been blessed to be at Carmel Manor for a year and a half and started out as a Staff Nurse and moved into the Admissions Coordinator Role in April 2020. Being the Admissions Coordinator gives me the opportunity to be the first point of contact with families when they are considering bringing their loved ones to Carmel Manor. I do not take that responsibility lightly. Bringing your loved one to Carmel Manor is an important decision and I want to help you in any way I can to make this process easier. I am also the Liaison between our Tri-State Hospitals and Carmel Manor. I love bringing in new Residents for all of our Staff to give their wonderful care to! I have been married to my husband Mark for 20 years and we have two awesome teenagers and a dog named Benji!

Tony Bonomini
Director of Development & Marketing
Tony joined the Carmel Manor team in 2018 as the Development & Marketing Director. His prior professional experiences were with 5/3 Bank as AVP and Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at Northern Kentucky University. Tony is a 40-year resident of Ft. Thomas, Ky with his wife Paula and two sons, Anthony and Michael. His interests are his faith, family, friends, the outdoors and a new granddaughter!

Merrie Kay Hagemann, MSW, CSW
Social Services Director
As Social Services Director, Merrie Hagemann brings a deep sense of caring to all her work. She helps residents and their families understand options and sort through the myriad of paperwork and decisions. She began with Carmel Manor in 1986 as the Personnel Director; she also served as the Admissions Director for 12 years before stepping into her current role. She has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University and a Master’s degree in Social Services from University of Kentucky. Merrie was a ballroom dancer for 25 years, and she still loves to sing and dance. She also loves to spend her spare time with her Border Collie, “Freddie”.

Mary Fetick
Activity Director and Volunteer Coordinator
Carmel Manor has been my home for almost 8 years, and I love it here!
My background includes teaching, the airline industry and working in another Carmelite Nursing Home. I really feel that Activities is a Calling/Mission for me. The Residents are a joy to be around and making people smile is something I love to do. I love sharing happiness with everyone I encounter, the Residents, Staff and Families. If you ask the Residents, I am sure they will tell you that you will “hear” Mary before you see her. Whether it is singing, telling jokes, listening to the Resident’s stories about their families and childhood, I am blessed to be “working” here at Carmel Manor – where The Difference is Love. I love this quote by St. Mother Teresa “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier”.

Kaleigh Dyer
Director of Human Resources
Kaleigh began her role as Director of Human Resources with Carmel Manor in July of 2020. She obtained her degree in Integrative Studies and Organizational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University and from there, was in pursuit of a career that allowed her to help others. Prior to working at Carmel Manor, she worked for larger corporations, such as American Airlines and TJX Companies and she also ran a small business coordinating wedding ceremonies and receptions.
While her prior roles with larger organizations were beneficial to the development and growth of her career, a career within a faith-based organization was what she was seeking. As Director of Human Resources, it is not only her goal to ensure staffing needs are met, regulations are complied with and employee relations are handled, but it is also a part of her job to meet the needs of every staff member at Carmel Manor with compassion and empathy. When she is not at Carmel Manor, Kaleigh is spending time with her two beautiful daughters, enjoying the outdoors and traveling the world.

Danny Bungenstock
Dietary Director
I have a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and am a Certified Executive Chef. In American Culinary Federation Events across the country, I have won over a dozen medals. In addition to my two decades in the industry, I was a culinary professor for 8 years, giving me the ability to run a teaching kitchen that cooks fresh, quality food from scratch. As a life-long Catholic, I am proud to use my qualifications to prepare delicious food for our Residents, bringing them nutrition, joy and dignity as they live their lives here at Carmel Manor. I have worked as the Dietary Director since December 2019 and look forward to many more years of fine dining here! I am a lucky man. My beautiful family is so proud of the work I do here. My wife of 5 years, Ellen, works at Carmel Manor as a graphic design contractor. While not designing for us, she is homeschooling our two daughters, 4-year-old Daphne and 3-year-old Mira.

Jason Dew
Business Office Manager
Jason Dew has been the Business Office Manager since June 2020. He had previously worked as the Human Resources Director for 7 years, as well as a cook and a dietary aide at Carmel Manor. Jason received a degree in Business Administration from Thomas More University as well as a degree in Business Management from Cincinnati State.
What he loves about his job is that he gets to utilize his skills to help families and Residents meet their needs every day. He and his wife have two children, which he credits with bringing joy to his life every day.
